By Tilly O'Brien 15th Jun 2026
A Chinese food cart selling crepes and more could start trading outside Kingston Museum permanently.
The Golden Jian, a local Chinese takeaway which started trading via food cart outside the museum back in November 2025, has submitted a licensing application to start trading permanently.
If its application is approved, The Golden Jian hopes to trade from 9am - 7pm Thursday through Tuesday, excluding 16 December 2026 - 17 February 2027 due to cold weather.
The cart operates next to Fairfield Road adjacent to Kingston Library and Kingston Museum.

It specialises in crepes, Soy-Sauce Braised Chicken, and homemade fruit tea.
THe deadline for residents to submit representations on this application is today (Monday, 15 June).
Representations can be made here.
