Kingston upon Thames boasts a rich history intertwined with apple cultivation, particularly in areas such as Norbiton, Hook, Chessington, Coombe, and Tolworth. These districts were once adorned with thriving orchards, contributing significantly to the local economy and community life. The Apple Market in Kingston stands as a testament to this fruitful past.

We'll be kicking things off with a linear walk from Hook to Tolworth on the Apple Trail on Thursday, 13th March.

Please note; This is a joint walk with Kingston Society and Kingston Ramblers. Local expert Alison Fure will discuss historical and ecological topics. The start point is Hook Community Centre KT9 1EJ from 10:00am. Finishes at Court Farm Garden Centre about 1pm. No payment or booking required.
