Norbiton and North Kingston's Lets Make Christmas Local Market

Norbiton and North Kingston shops are set to sparkle this Saturday (December 3rd) with the community's 'Let's Make Christmas Local' event.

Between 10am - 3pm, the one-day festive market will consist of stalls from nearly 30 small shops, restaurants and local businesses across Norbiton and North Kingston in a bid to encourage seasonal shoppers to support local businesses this Christmas.

The festive celebrations will include a pop-up craft fair, seasonal refreshments and carols galore, with traders along Park Road, Coombe Road and Kingston Hill set to hand out festive passports, encouraging shoppers to collect stamps as they explore their local high streets to be entered into a prize draw.

From jewellery to gin, pet goodies to Scuba lessons, and wine tasting to Santa Paws's very own canine Christmas grotto, the inaugural one-day fair will also give residents the chance to take advantage of local discounts.

A Christmas Carol at the Rose Theatre

Enjoy some festive magic with a dose of time travel as the beloved Rose Christmas show returns. From Morgan Lloyd Malcolm, writer of the Olivier Award-winning Emilia, comes a brand-new retelling of Charles Dickens' timeless classic.

It's a cold Christmas Eve on the snowy streets of Victorian London, and preparations for another meagre Christmas are well underway - but not for Ebenezer Scrooge. The cruellest, wealthiest woman in town; Scrooge hates charity, she hates carol singers, and most of all… she hates Christmas. Bah, humbug!

Join the children of the town and Charles Dickens, as they take Scrooge on a time-bending, enchanting journey of self-discovery to confront her past, present and future. Can Scrooge open her heart to undo years of misdeeds before it's too late?

This Rose Original Production features a wealth of local talent from the Rose Youth Theatre performing alongside a professional cast.
