A South West London couple have turned their boat into Santa's sleigh to fundraise for a national cancer charity.

Sacha and Matt Prichard have decked the halls with lights, reindeer, festive music, and even a Father Christmas to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The Sleigh Boat, which is believed to be the UK's first, will be jingling all the way across London on Saturday, 13 December.

The couple are known for their adventurous lifestyle, and have built up a following online documenting their experiences living on an island in South West London.

But their latest venture is arguably their most worthwhile yet.

Sacha said: "My community across social media has grown so much, as a thank you, I wanted to do something positive and fun for Christmas.

"Knowing I could raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust felt really special, and as soon as I had the idea, I knew I had to do it."

Matt added: "The response from our community already has been so positive, we really can't wait to see all the children's (and adults) smiley faces down at the river, it will feel so magical."

The boat will depart Hampton Court Bridge around 3.05pm and stop at Ye Old Swan, Ravens Ait, Kingston Bridge, and Canbury Gardens – before dancing merrily back to Hampton Court Bridge at approximately 5.05pm.

The couple are ho-ho-hoping to raise £1000 through their nautical endeavour, but any donations – no matter how large or small – are greatly appreciated.
