This Friday (12 December), Richmond visitors can take a break from their Christmas shopping to enjoy a live carol performance featuring the Ocado choir of Ocado delivery drivers and staff and supported by the Soul Choir - with a very special guest appearance from pop-princess and 'Murder on the Dancefloor' singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor at 1pm.

The performance will feature the debut of 'Season's Eatings' - a reworked version of a classic Christmas carol created with Ocado inspired by the nation's quirky festive food traditions.

The event will run from 12pm – 2pm on George Street and is part of Ocado's Christmas campaign which captures the playful, modern-day British approach to Christmas and celebrates the sometimes unusual but always beloved food traditions that make this season so special.

Ocado's special "Season's Eatings" food truck will serve free samples of revamped dishes inspired by real British Christmas food traditions uncovered in Ocado's poll - such as tikka pigs in blankets, crab rarebit, and Dubai chocolate brownies with pistachio cream.

Ocado's research shows that over half of Brits (55%) have festive food traditions, from mince pies topped with cheese (10%) to seafood for breakfast (9%).

A third (30%) say they're tired of the same old Christmas foods, while 40% say they are willing to incorporate new cuisines and flavours into their Christmas meal.

The pop-up celebrates these quirks, showing that there's no official way to do Christmas - only the way you do it.
