The free little library was vandalised in Surbiton.

Kingston and Surbiton Green Party tweeted about the incident:

"We are saddened to hear that the little free library on the Alpha Road Estate Surbiton has been vandalised

"If anyone knows anything about it please could you let the police know.

"It is an unnecessary act against residents and we trust it will be repaired."

The project was set up in 2017 by Nick Rogers.

He describes the aim of the libraries as: "Little Free Libraries aim to inspire a love of reading, build community, and spark creativity by fostering neighbourhood book exchanges around the world."

Lets hope the library is repaired soon.
