A Japanese restaurant chain, which was founded by Rak-Kyu Park in Kingston-upon-Thames in 2010, is opening its first ever venue in Wales.

Kokoro, which has branches in Kingston and Surbiton, will open its first Welsh venue in Cardiff city centre.

The chain has also expanded further afield to Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds and Bristol and in November, the food company announced their intention to open 100 new sites over the next five years which will more than double their current number of sites.

It also expanded to Norwich, Wiltshire, Winchester, Norfolk, and Salisbury in February last year.
