A pizza restaurant in Kingston could expand its outdoor seating area.
Franco Manca, which is located on Clarence Street and opened in June 2022, has submitted a pavement licence application to Kingston Council for permission to do so, suggesting a two-stage plan.
The restaurant's outdoor seating area, which is open from 9am – 11am seven days a week, currently has 12 tables, 24 chairs and two planters, but would like to add two new planters on Fife Road, four extra tables, eight extra chairs, and two café barriers on Clarence Street as part of Stage One.
As part of Stage Two, the restaurant chain would like to permit 24 tables, 48 chairs, and four new planters on Fife Road as well as four tables, eight chairs, and two café barriers on Clarence Street.
It says that if the application is approved, once the work is completed, the existing planters on Fife Road will be removed under Stage Two.
The area will be for the sell and consumption of food and drink.
Residents have until Tuesday, 31 March to submit representations on this application and can do so here.
