Franco Manca officially opens its doors in Kingston

By Eli Haidari 7th Jun 2022

Franco Manca officially opened its doors to Kingston customers yesterday morning with its new branch on Clarence Street.

The Neapolitan-inspired sourdough pizzeria is now open for dine in, outdoor dining, order and collect as well as takeaway, and is offering customers a generous 50% off all dishes until close on Wednesday 8th June.

Franco Manca's origins started back in 1986, with the pizzeria operating in Brixton Market owned by a man, wait for it, called Franco.

In 2008, Franco asked his close friend Guiseppe Mascoli if he wanted to take over.

Guiseppe and his friend Bridget Hugo, an artisan baker, took it over and called it Franco Manca (Italian for "Franco is missing") in homage to Franco's work.

Today, Franco Manca is enjoyed by customers across the country and currently has over 55 restaurants operating in the UK.

The Brixton branch has gained 922 reviews on Trip Advisor and has an overall rating of four out of five stars.
