Looking for something local to do in Kingston? Then you'll love our new Event of the Week section!

To celebrate the return of the Kingston activities we've all missed, Nub News will feature our pick of the best thing to do in our town each week.

Today's featured activity is a 17-mile cycle ride to the historic Surrey village of Cheam which takes place this Sunday (6 June).

Despite its distance the ride is described as 'easy-going' and includes a stop for lunch at the village's Ye Olde Red Lion pub.

Cheam's Tudor cottages, Georgian manor and Old Rectory are all easy on the eye and you can refuel at the village sweet shop for the ride back!

The free event has been organised by Kingston Cycle Campaign, a group of keen bike enthusiasts who regularly run cycle rides as part of their goal to promote cycling in the borough.

You can find more of their events and safety advice on their website

Details of the event and how to book your place are listed in our What's On section .

Do you have an event happening that you'd like to publicise? We can help you spread the word - for free! Just click the black https://kingston.nub.news/admin/admin_enter_item_details.php?m=e button on our events page and we'll add it to our listings. It's as easy as that!
