London food chain to replace former Kingston dentist’s surgery with new bar

A London-based business is set to open a new bar and cafe on Richmond Road in Kingston.
Serve will open its new branch in the former site of KT2 Dental.
The venue is located next to Gabbeh Art and The Paragon, and is across the road from Sainsbury's and Cycle Exchange.
Serve is owned by Mr. Taster Ltd, which is seeking permission from Kingston Council to host live music events, play recorded music and serve late-night refreshments.
If approved, the licence will come into effect immediately and has been requested for an unlimited period.
Additionally, it hopes to be allowed to host live music events and play recorded music indoors during its proposed operating hours of 8am until midnight seven days a week, and to supply late night refreshments and alcohol for consumption on the premises until midnight.
Serve currently focuses on delivering "fresh, wholesome meals" across Kingston and Surbiton using locally sourced ingredients.
It already has a branch on Ewell Road in Surbiton and a branch on Kingston High Street.
To keep in line with the council's licensing criteria, Serve says "the premises will operate responsibly and in accordance with the four licensing objectives", adding that "the premises licence will be displayed and all licence conditions will be observed".
Local residents have until 5 October to submit representations on this application and can do so here.
