YT-1300 [Star Wars Punk Band!]

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…

A promising student of the dark side, Darth Swin was forced to abandon his quest to become the next dark lord when his love of cake and chocolate began to interfere with his rigorous training schedule. Upon overhearing that his master was looking to replace him with a force user from Dathomir, Swin stowed away in the cargo ship of a beaten up freighter. He was discovered by the crew when he began stealing food from their plates using his force powers. They dumped him off at the next planet, far away from the bright centre of the universe. He tried his hand at a variety of menial jobs before finding work behind the bar at Chalmun's Cantina. When not serving drinks, he would gaze wistfully at the bands Chalmun hired to entertain his customers, fascinated by the rhythmic percussion that drove the songs. Determined to one day join a band, he took himself off to the kitchen between shifts, where he taught himself to play on the pots and pans.

Iron Mike Organa is distantly related to the Organa family of Alderaan. However, an irreparable rift opened between the 2 families when Bail accused Iron Mike's grandfather of cheating at Dejarik during a night of heavy drinking. The families never spoke again and Iron Mike's grandfather started a new life herding Bantha on Tatooine. Iron Mike was trained from a young age to follow in the footsteps of his predecessors, having been given his very own poodoo shovel for his 4th birthday. He had a carefree upbringing working hard in the desert, but loved nothing more than sitting around the campfire with the local tribe of Tusken Raiders, singing along to their guttural tunes.

Captain Phoenix, joined the ranks of the Fighting 503 after graduating from Imperial Training College. He tried hard to conform with the strict Imperial regime but found that he became increasingly disillusioned with the inability to express his individuality. Like a typical stormtrooper, he missed many things, but found that he missed home more than anything. Things came to a head when he was punished by his senior officer for refusing to wear his helmet as it was messing his hair up. In a fit of pique, he stole an Imperial shuttle and flew back home to Tatooine where he put his uniform to good use, working as an exotic dancer in the bars of Mos Eisley.

Fate transpired to throw the three together when they all got caught trying to sneak in to a Max Rebo concert by Wookiee security guards. Unceremoniously dumped in the street, the three went back to Chalmun's, where they got completely smashed and vowed to form the best band in the galaxy. In the morning, nursing horrendous hangovers, they realised that they'd drunkenly booked themselves to play their first gig at Jabba's Palace. Not wanting to become Rancor food, they realised that they'd better learn to play…

High Frequency

Three-piece punk band with pop leanings from Maidstone in Kent featuring Tom on bass and vocals, Ant on guitar and Corky on drums. They formed in 2003 when Tom and Corky met at Reading festival and have had more years on hiatus than active, but since 2021 they've been taking having fun much more seriously, recording new music and playing more regularly than ever before. They're here to chew bubblegum and rock your socks off, and they're all out of bubblegum!
