Jacqui Barrowcliffe at RuptureXIBIT

Jacqui Barrowcliffe will be occupying the front gallery space of RuptureXIBIT for a three week residency that runs from Tuesday 6th February 2024 - Monday 26th February 2024.

With special events and open studio days throughout the residency to be announced, The front gallery will be open on the weekend of the 24th and 25th of February (times TBC) so make a note in your diaries for that final opportunity to see Jacqui's work.

Jacqui Barrowcliffe is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Scarborough. Inspired by her surroundings, particularly the coastline, her practice focuses on exploring human connections to nature and evolving environmental threats.

Unable to relocate for the residency due to her parenting responsibilities, Jacqui's intervention at RuptureXIBIT, will be a hybrid format between occasional physical presence in the space and remote working from North Yorkshire. This approach to the residency will form part of the work she undertakes, as she explores how to connect and interact with a space when absent from it, employing a variety of different means to do so, including daily correspondence.
