On 16th August 1940, at around 5.00pm for approximately 30 minutes, New Malden was subjected to a bombing raid.
On the 83rd anniversary of the raid, Wednesday 16th August at 6.45pm (for a 7.00pm start), Maldens and Coombe Heritage Association is holding an evening comprising a 50 minutes talk and then recollections.
Listen to an individual who has been working at New Malden Station for over 30 years and will be present stories of those who have visual memories and documented their stories of the event.
