Pottery for Intermediates Adult Evening Classes

Pottery for Intermediates

This course is designed for anyone wanting to extend their skills in pottery further. A perfect follow on from our course, Pottery for Beginners.

The course is the ideal opportunity to work with different clay types to create more ambitious pieces in a fun and friendly environment.

There are no entry requirements, however, to gain the most from this course we would recommend some previous ceramics experience.

If you are new to pottery, we would highly recommend trying out our Pottery for Beginners course.

Course Content:

Throughout this 8-week course you will have the opportunity to extend your ceramics skills further by taking on more ambitious projects.

You will be introduced to working with stoneware clay, suitable for larger pieces and outdoor sculptures, alongside learning more complex glazing and construction techniques, including the use of oxides.

Students will be able to complete their own personal projects in the later stages of the course with the support and guidance of their lecturer.

Additional Information:

All materials and equipment are provided. Should you become more ambitious in the scale of your work we may ask for a contribution towards materials used.

End Time: 20:00

Duration: 8 Weeks
