Since 2009 Polar have created a relentless, chaotic, and raw sound which is matched with a notoriously energetic live show. For the last 15 years Polar have given everything to build a strong reputation and becoming a force to be reckoned with. With a fresh new perspective and positivity, the newly formed Polar have played main stage at Resurrection Festival, completed European and UK tours and have written and recorded Polar's 6th studio album with producer Jack Murphy (Crystal Sound Studios). 'Five Arrows' goes deep into the subject of the destructive power of change, which Polar regard as their strongest work to date. 

ASLEEP AT THE HELM

Asleep At The Helm are a five piece Modern – Metalcore outfit from the UK. With a change in sound to a heavier less melodic style and a new line up to dominate the stage. The bands latest single 'Tarnished' is a foreshadow for things to come.

Compounds

Formed early 2018 and hailing from Reading, England. Compounds are a 5 piece melodic-hardcore outfit that push the musical boundaries of melodic hardcore and punk. FFO: Comeback Kid, La Dispute, Touche Amore

The Kingston Dragon Boat Race

Sunday 20 JUly, Canbury Gardens, 10am - 2pm.

The event is taking place in Canbury Gardens Between Kingston Riverside (tennis) Club and Kings Passage

Kingston upon Thames

Watching the dragon boat races themselves is a thrilling experience. The event supports local charities, who you can cheer on during the races.

There will be lots to get involved with, down by the river at Canbury Gardens. Entry is Free.

There will be:

  • Cultural Performances including traditional Chinese music, dance, and martial arts demonstrations
  • Food Stalls offering delicious treats from various cuisines - there's something to satisfy everyone's taste buds, and
  • Interactive Activities and games for children
