Kingstonian progress to the second-round of the Surrey Senior Cup with a comfortable 3-1 win over local rivals Corinthian Casuals.
Jack Strange and Nodirbek Bobomurodov scored both scored over the course of seven first half minutes to give the K's a commanding lead at the break.
Tyrese Owen virtually guaranteed the win after the hour mark when he added a third, before a consolation in the final ten minutes from Nat Pinney.
This win is Spencer Knight's first since he took the job and Kingstonian's first win in a cup competition this season.
The Casuals could have taken a lead inside ten minutes as Hakeem Adelakun wondered forward from the back and received the ball on the edge of the penalty area, took a touch and lashed a shot just wide of the upright.
After this early scare, Kingstonian stabilised and after 18 minutes took the lead as the former Corinthian Casual Strange finished off a fine move for the hosts to fire them in front.
The Chocolate and Pink had the ball in the back of the Kingstonian net after Nathaniel Pinney ran beyond the Kingstonian back line and finished, but the linesman raised his flag as he had strayed offside.
Then at the midway point of the half Kingstonian doubled their advantage as Mohammad Otuyo was caught dallying on the ball in goal and the K's won the ball back and Bobomurodov punished them by slotting home.
Late in the half Sam Dowridge found himself through one-on-one after a well-timed pass set him away, but Rob Tolfrey stayed big and denied him.
The visitors made four half-time changes to attempt to turn the tide and nearly got themselves back in the game as Thomas Jackson had his shot from the top of the box parried by Tolfrey, and Luke Stokoe followed it in only for the Kingstonian 'keeper to get up quickly to deny him again.
The upsurge did not last long as the K's soon scored a third as they got in down the left of the Casuals and a deep cross put the ball on a plate for Owen to tap into the net.
Late in the game Corinthian Casuals did get on the score sheet as Tyler Caton drove a low cross into the danger zone and Pinney used his clever movement to find space and divert the cross home.
Next up for Spencer Knight's men is an early kick-off on Saturday at Imperial Fields as Cray Wanderers visit in the Isthmian League Premier Division.
