Now the dust has literally settled we need help!

7th September is date etched in both Hampton Wick Royal Cricket Club (est 1863) and Harlequins Amateurs (est 1866) long history as our club house was burnt down with 10 days until the start of the league rugby season.

We now face an uncertain period until we can agree and install temporary facilities on the site but both clubs stand together determined to return sport to the Wick. We have had an amazing outpouring of good wishes and fantastic offers of help from the RFU, ECB, Middlesex RFU, local rugby and cricket clubs, local community groups and our amazing sponsors Chipotle, Savills, Myco and NRP.

It is now clear that the insurance will not cover the temporary WC, changing, shower and shelter we need to offer our players and supporters so we need your help! We need to rent/buy and maintain until the new clubhouse is built and we need funds to do this.

We have set up a joint just giving page with the cricketers as the link below and would ask that you give what you can or like, repost or share this message to highlight our need to as many as possible. This is grassroots rugby run by volunteers and we need your help.

We also need physical help as we focus on maintaining league rugby for our senior men and women and training /playing for mini and youth so if any one can help with assisting running the club or has skills in fundraising and rebuilding for a new club please contact us on the email below.

We are absolutely determined to return sport to this wonderful venue and continue as clubs for another 160 years developing great players who love rugby and supporting men, women, kids and youth rugby to create friends for life and providing role models as well as having fun.

We had been homeless for 20yrs in various locations until finding the Wick in 2020 and then seeing and enjoying the power a clubhouse can bring to join a club together culminating in a fantastic season in 22/23 by winning the Papa Johns Community Shield. We will maintain this success but only with your support. Please like, share, repost and forward this to highlight our story so far.
