Kingston-based Momentum Children's Charity is set to host an evening of opera, song and timeless favourites on Sunday, 18 October at 7pm.

Taking place at St Mark's Church in Surbiton, the event will see performances from solo artists and chorus members from some of the world's most prestigious opera houses and music institutions.

Hosted by renowned actor and Momentum Ambassador Michael Simkins, with a programme brought together by Jean Rigby and Music Director Stephen Harris, the evening will feature performances from Aimee Skye Wilmot, Edward Freeman, Siyuan Xu, Hector Price, and Rosanna Harris, with more names still to be announced.

Talking about the event, Sarah Woods, CEO at Momentum Children's Charity said: "This really is a one-of-a-kind event, bringing together some world-class musicians for what promises to be a very special evening.

"We are incredibly grateful for the wonderful support we have received, with musicians travelling from overseas especially to be part of the night. If you are looking for an evening out with a difference, this is one not to miss.

"Every penny raised will support local families facing incredibly difficult times."

Momentum Children's Charity supports families across London, Surrey and Sussex whose children are facing cancer or a life-challenging condition.

The charity partners with local hospitals, including Kingston Hospital, to offer personally tailored support to the entire family through their family support workers, both in hospital and at home.
