Following the success of her first speed dating event in Kingston, Sam, founder of S1ngle is hosting a second event in Kingston next week.

The event will run from 6.30pm - 9.30pm on Wednesday, 6 May at Browns in Kingston.

Speaking about the event, Sam said: "The first speed dating event in Kingston was a success, we had one person who had no dates for over 7 months, matching with two dates.

"There was another person who had lost their partner and found coming here enjoyable, helping build their confidence of stepping out and restarting their life. We also had a cute puppy in attendance called Chewie, he is only eight months old but behaved rather well.

"After the speed dating, we split up into smaller groups for discussion, where we talked about What Men and Women really wanted, as well as Ghosting on Dating apps.

"The next Speed Dating event is for 26 - 44 years old +/- 2 years."

She added: "Additionally, I am also organising a picnic at Richmond Park on Saturday, 20 June. This will be speed friending and speed dating combined.

"Going to singles dating events alone can be a little frightening, but if you come to our event a few minutes early we can help you settle in and get comfortable. Don't forget over 95% of the people attend these events alone."

Tickets can be found on S1ngle's website here.

Readers are encouraged to send in their ideas on the type of events they would like to see, as well as any other feedback to [email protected]
