Kingston's Winter Warmer 5km Run and Rave is taking place this Friday, 24 January, from 8pm – 9pm.

Anyone taking part should meet at Boater's Inn between 7pm and 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.

The run is expected to finish at 8.05pm.

The "high energy" 5km run will take place along Kingston's riverside paths with glow sticks, party lights and constant bangers on the sound system at hand.

Once the run is done, runners will head back to Boaters Inn for a social with DJ Charlie Fiel on the decks.

The organisers ask that runners wear appropriate footwear for running in winter conditions and suggest they bring a head torch if they have one.

There will be a bag drop available at Boaters Inn, but items are left at your own risk, and no dogs are allowed.
