Band Night at All Saints Kingston
Saturday 10 May, All Saints Kingston, 7.30pm start.

Kingston cover band target biggest ever fundraising gig to celebrate 1100 years of Athelstan's coronation in the Royal Borough.
"All Saints Church Kingston presents: Run For Cover – Playing Tunes Fit for a King!"
Kingston's favourite cover band www.runforcoverlive.com have been operating in the area for nearly 20 years playing live floorfillers spanning disco, Britpop, rock and dance. Now they take on their biggest ever gig and fundraising challenge at All Saints Church, Kingston-upon -Thames, on Saturday 10th May. The event is promoted by All Saints, supported by Kingston's own Park Brewery and forms part of Kingston Council's Kingston 2025 programme of events to mark 1100 years since Athelstan was crowned as the first King of England in Kingston-upon-Thames.
All Saints has established itself as a premier pop music venue, thanks in part to Kingston's renowned Banquet Records. With performances from artists like Hozier and Killer Mike, it is a dynamic hub for live music, keeping the local scene thriving. This will be the first time ever that it's hosted a cover band.

Join local litter heroes of all ages as they help make Fairfield Recreation Ground and Children's Playground lovely and clean for everyone to enjoy. With litter-pickers and gloves available, and sweet treats for litter heroes, this is a fun opportunity to join fellow residents and help clear this popular park.

Saturday 10 May, The Fighting Cocks, 7.30pm - 11pm.

Progressive five-piece You Win Again Gravity are on a roll. With their second album, 'Into the Dancing Blue', under their belt and receiving praise for their songwriting proficiency, they enter 2025 with momentum on their side. With the release of singles 'Dreadbound' and 'Something Has to Change', they unveil 'Don't Leave Me Here, Pt. 1', further advancing the evolution of their intelligent hardcore sound.

Criss Cross Stitch Bookbinding

In this fun and relaxing day of bookbinding with professional bookbinder Mylyn McColl, you'll learn a variation of long stitch binding and make yourself a beautiful and unique handmade book!
This wonderful book structure lays flat, making it great for sketching and writing.
Under Mylyn's expert guidance, you'll prepare your pages, create a beautiful case using decorative papers and bookcloth and then produce an intricate set of holes, before attaching everything together with this highly decorative criss cross stitch and multiple coloured threads.
With step by step instructions and demonstrations, you'll be guided through each process of this heritage craft and shown how to use traditional tools of the trade.
At the end of the day you'll go home with your own stylish notebook and the skills and confidence to make more.
