As Living Arrows

English post-hardcore band As Living Arrows (formerly known as Dead Bird) are set to make a return with the release of their highly anticipated second studio album 'Hope and Ruin' on September 27th 2024. Combining atmospheric guitar works, emotional lyrics, and an overall burst of energy, this powerful work promises to captivate listeners from start to finish. Going beyond just a musical experience, "Hope and Ruin" also serves as a reflection on life's challenges and victories, delivering intense beats, epic melodies, and the signature sound that fans have come to love from their previous work.

Hope and Ruin was written during a 10 day stay at Shaken Oak Studios in Oxfordshire in March 2023. After writing was complete, the band used the next few months of touring to hone the material and tweak the songs into their final forms. The album was recorded at Middle Farm Studios with Peter Miles (Architects, TesseracT) in October 2023. The band's goal was to capture the sound of the band performing live as organically as possible. Sam at Rose Quartz Mastering provided the mastering for the album, with his aim to retain the analogue quality of the initial tape recording and preserve the dynamic shifts of the record.

Fraktions

FRAKTIONS are an instrumental prog trio who fuse elements of metal and jazz together, creating a colourful, hypnotic and exhilarating sound.

"The new EP from the London based trio is entitled "Don't Mess With Grandma" could also be called "Don't Mess With Fraktions". Insane chops focused into five ridiculously titled songs that oscillate from serene beauty to crazy and menacing. And back again of course. Exhilarating and mesmerizing." The Prog Space
