Alina Bzhezhinska Trio

Alina Bzhezhinska is a well known and much loved artist among London audiences. She has performed here many times with her quintet HipHarpCollective, as well as in a duo with saxophonist Tony Kofi.

This time she returns with a new project featuring Menelik Claffey on bass and Joel Prime on drums and percussion. With the harp heavily extended through electronics and pre-recorded sounds, the trio will pay tribute to jazz visionaries Alice Coltrane, Dorothy Ashby and Pharoah Sanders, while also presenting Bzhezhinska's latest compositions from the albums Whispers of Rain and Women in Jazz Vol. 1.

Heritage Steam

Saturday 21 March and Sunday 22 March, Hampton Kempton Waterworks Railway, Open from 10.30am - 4pm.

Acoustic Sessions

Acoustic Sessions are an opportunity for young musicians to build their confidence in performing whilst meeting like-minded people.

Basement Door's evenings provide a safe space for local singer-songwriters to share and grow their talents and begin to network within The Basement Door community. Basement Door encourages family, friends and audiences to come along and support young musicians and upcoming grassroots music.

Spring Sounds: Music in Kingston

Sunday 22 March, The Town House, 10am - 5pm.

  • Activities through out the day that are free for everyone to attend but may need booking in advance
  • Live music and performances during the day
  • Talks and training from organisations across the borough
