Friday, July 8

A celebration of Bowie and Bowie Ball

To mark the 50th Anniversary of David Bowie performing as Ziggy Stardust for the first time at the Toby Jug in Tolworth, FUSE international celebrate the icon that influenced music, sexuality, design and fashion.

FUSE, the international festival run by Kingston based charity Creative Youth, offers an electric programme of music, theatre, dance, comedy, visual arts and circus performances and runs until the 10th July.

Friday night is a taste of Bowie with 3 bands giving different essences of Bowie alongside some of their own original work. Headlined by 'In Albion'. This will be followed by a Bowie Ball where we will have a full tribute of songs playing dedicated to the legend himself. Dressing up is highly encouraged, so get your glittery glad rags on and come celebrate with FUSE!

Saturday 9 - Sunday 10 July

Wimbledon Finals at Kingston Market Place

Watch all the Wimbledon final action on Kingston's big screen this weekend!

On both the 9th and 10th July, live BBC coverage will be shown from 1pm, so make sure you arrive before to secure a seat! Kingston First are hoping to bring in a pop-up drinks cart, serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, cakes and even strawberries & cream for all to indulge in throughout the day!

So round up your friends and family and head to the Ancient Market Place, grab a quick and tasty lunch from one of the market stalls, and catch all the action on the big screen!

FUSE International 2022: The Wagon of Dreams - A New Adventure

Our second inclusion from Kingston's FUSE Festival and the perfect family-friendly outing for the weekend.

Three best friends are going on an exciting ocean adventure. Come and meet the outrageous mermaids and fantastical sea creatures who live in the wonderful "Wagon of Dreams".

This is a playful, inventive family show, set on a retro caravan, packed with puppetry, music and laughter. Bring your blanket, sunscreen and your kids and enjoy the show.

Voices of Hope Summer Concert

Voices of Hope is a Kingston based charity focused on restoring hope to people facing life battle's including the recovery of violence and abuse, dealing with long-term mental and physical challenges and fighting isolation and social anxiety. 

Join them for their summer concert, known as wonderfully enriching evenings for all those who come and listen. All finances raised through ticket sales will go towards Voices of Hope's charitable work which includes their Brite Box initiative. Healthy meal kits that are distributed to families struggling with the cost-of-living crisis.

Crack Comedy night at The Grey Horse

Welcome to the home of Kingston's original and longest running comedy night. 

A night of irresistible improv comedy from some of London's finest players. Round off the weekend with a razor-sharp, spontaneous, brand new and never-to-be-seen-again show that will leave you saying, like after ALL the best nights out, "you really had to be there…"

You'll be asked for suggestions which will be turned into unforgettable scenes, characters, and songs, all made up right there on the spot. Had a particularly eventful night out recently? We might just ask you about it… 

Do not miss this show – you'll literally never be able to see it again! With a collection of special guests each time, hosted by Tamar Broadbent (Boom Chicago US improv theatre, BBC Radio 4, comedycentral.co.uk).

Tickets are £8 in Advance or £10 on the door.
