Every Thursday we round up all the eye catching events occurring in your area over the weekend.

FRIDAY: The Kingston Gin and Rum Evening at the Rose Theatre

Enjoy an evening of G&R fun with friends and family. Meet over 15 local, artisan gin and rum distillers, sample their products by the glass and maybe buy a bottle (or more!) to take home and enjoy.

Live entertainment on the night includes a live singer and close up magic with a range of hot food available to purchase.

A gin or rum glass to keep and a drink token to redeem with any exhibitor are included in your ticket price with local wines, beers and soft drinks also available.

SATURDAY: The Bad Day blues band with Lunar Jam at the Fighting Cocks Bar

This Saturday energetic blues infused rock and winner of the Best New Blues Band The Bad Day rock the FC stage along with local alternative Lunar Jam, with Xander.av also making their FC debut!

SUNDAY: Freedom Jazz Dance at Ram Jam Records

"Freedom Jazz Dance"is a free-rolling, multi-faceted jazz/funk/soul collective led by some of the finest players in the UK, born out of the dark days of lockdown, dedicated to freedom and improvisation in the jamming frequency of their performances.

Aaron Liddard and Tim Whitehead head up the horns. Pianist John Crawford brings his 50/50 Spanish/English heritage to the music, describing his life as " inspired by rhythm and dance."

Tristan Maillot on drums studied at Dartington College of Music and The Royal Academy of Music. He has appeared with leading UK and international artists and is active on the UK jazz scene with CD releases including with the Jim Hart quartet, Kate Williams quintet and septet and Anita Wardell's group.
