Rose Theatre's Macbeth (an undoing) – until Saturday 23 March

Macbeth (an undoing) is Zinnie Harris' adaptation of the classic production, still running at the Rose Theatre for a few days.

Originally premiered at the Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh in February 2023, Harris' retelling of the classic Scottish play puts the iconic Lady Macbeth at the heart of the plot.

By putting her front and centre, it begs the question – have we really heard the whole story?

Rose Theatre's artistic director Christopher Haydon says: "Zinnie [tilts] this classic story on its axis, bringing something new to conversations about power and leadership in today's world."

This editor can confirm it is a must-see for the theatrically-minded

Macbeth (an undoing) runs from now until 23 March at the Rose Theatre, with both daytime and evening performances available.

Reveller & Webb: The Road To Insanity Tour – Friday 22 March

It wouldn't be a Kingston Nub News What's On round-up without a nod to iconic local venue The Fighting Cocks, who are hosting Reveller and WEBB.

After going on an indefinite hiatus in 2016, Reveller reformed in 2022 with new members, new music and the same tried and tested blend of hard hitting guitars and soaring vocals.

They will be joined by WEBB, Hard-hitting alt-metal power trio from South West England, and One Last Day, a modern hard rock band born from the pandemic in the south of England.

Tickets are £6 in advance or £10 on the door for this Friday night gig at The Fighting Cocks.
