Volunteers needed for Kingston 2025 celebrations

As the opening of the landmark Kingston 2025 celebration draws near, Kingston Council is seeking volunteers to help out at the celebrations.
Kingston Council announced that it wants to hear from anyone interested in getting involved during the six-month cultural festival.
Roles are being listed through volunteeringkingston.org.uk, the online volunteering hub for the borough. Search Kingston 2025 via the link to see all the roles currently on offer.
There are a range of roles available with the option to give anything from a few hours on a single day to getting involved over the six months of activity.
Roles that suit groups of volunteers and roles that will train you in new skills are part of the mix too.
Leader of Kingston Council Cllr Andreas Kirsch said: "Kingston 2025 is a cultural festival with communities at its heart and we would like to encourage local people- whether they live, work, or study here, to give their time and skills as a volunteer and help different parts of the programme come to life."
A celebration of the borough's past, present, and future, Kingston 2025 will shine a light on over 1000 years of history in the borough.
The programme captures the energy, spirit and diversity of Kingston's communities today as it marks the 1100th anniversary of the crowning of King Athelstan, the first king of a united England in Kingston.
There will be a wide range of public events and a community heritage project to focus on diverse community stories to preserve them for generations to come. More details can be found here.
