Cardo Group has acquired Breyer Group's roofing business, which is based in Kingston, as the latter business enters administration.

As part of the deal, Cardo has taken over a contract with the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames for responsive repairs and maintenance, ensuring those services continue uninterrupted.

The move will save 100 jobs.

Glen Carter, partner at RSM UK and joint administrator, said: "We are pleased to have secured a sale of Breyer Group's roofing division and in a separate transaction, the continuity of the company's contract with the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames to Cardo.

"The transactions have preserved a significant number of jobs and allows services to certain clients to be maintained."
