The leader of Kingston Council has given an update on vaccine uptake in the borough.

Here are the key points from Councillor Caroline Kerr's (Liberal Democrat, Canbury) video message:

- If you are over 65 you do not have to wait to be called by the NHS to get you vaccine, you can book an appointment.

- This also applies to frontline health care workers, social care workers and anyone over 16 who is clinically vulnerable.

- You do not need an NHS number or even be registered with a GP to book.

- You can book a vaccine by clicking HERE

- Nearly 90% of Kingston residents who have been offered the vaccine have taken it.

- Cllr Kerr also urged those eligible who have not been vaccinated yet to get the jab.
