Quizboxing has brought a new TV-style competitive quiz arena to Kingston.

The new interactive entertainment experience, located in Hook Rise, Surbiton opened today (Monday, 19 January), marking the brand's expansion into South West London.

The Quizboxing arena will bring a competitive quiz format designed around head-to-head play, timed rounds and tactical decision-making. The new site will offer local residents, students and visitors an alternative social activity in the town centre, suited to group outings, celebrations and team events.

Quizboxing combines the structure and pacing of a boxing match with the challenge of a quiz, placing players inside a purpose-built arena where teams compete across multiple rounds of fast-moving trivia and strategy-based challenges.

Each game is overseen by a host and supported by lighting and sound design that creates a live game-show atmosphere, encouraging collaboration, pressure and momentum throughout the session.

Unlike traditional quiz nights, Quizboxing requires teams to make active choices as the game unfolds, selecting themed rounds and using bespoke "wild card" mechanics to block, steal or multiply points.

The format rewards communication and teamwork as much as general knowledge, making it accessible to a wide range of participants, from friends and families to corporate groups and university societies.

The Kingston opening introduces a new kind of interactive leisure experience to the local area, blending competition with social play.

It is a new experience concept that gives players the feeling of being on a real-life quiz show.

Alistair Dawson, Quizboxing Kingston Owner, said: "Kingston has a strong mix of students, workplaces and social venues, which made it a natural location for Quizboxing.

"The format takes something people already enjoy, quizzes, and places it in a more structured, competitive setting where everyone is involved throughout. It's designed to be social and inclusive, but with enough pace and tactical depth to keep games engaging from start to finish."
