A Kingston coffee trailer could move its trading location.

Brewsmiths Café Kingston, which currently trades on Ashdown Road, is seeking the council's permission to relocate to a spot adjacent to Thameside Car Park.

It hopes to trade from 6.30am – 4.30pm seven days a week.

However, it says, "Daily trading hours may vary slightly depending on weather, demand, and event schedules, but operations will remain within this time frame".

Should the application be approved, Brewsmiths says it will trade from a "Converted Rice Europa horsebox coffee trailer (self-contained mobile unit) [which is] fully enclosed and finished to professional catering standard".

It will serve hot and cold drinks, including tea, coffee, smoothies, and milkshakes, as well as bakery items, including pastries, cakes, and cookies.

Brewsmiths said that "no open food will be handled" and that staff will use antiseptic wipes, sanitiser, and disposable gloves to "maintain good hygiene".

It will also use a single sink with hot and cold water for washing coffee cups, and pitchers, tongs, and utensils only for serving food with no food prep required.

If it relocates, Brewsmiths says its staff will use public toilet facilities available nearby in Kingston town centre.

Local residents have until 2 April to submit representations and can do so here.
