Teenage boy charged with attempted rape following incident in New Malden

Detectives investigating an allegation of rape in Kingston have today charged a teenage boy.

The 18-year-old appeared in Wimbledon Magistrates Court this morning (1st September) who was charged with one count of attempted rape, assault by penetration and ABH.

The charges relate to an incident dating back to Saturday August 20th where police received an allegation of attempted rape that was reported to have occurred in an alleyway in New Malden.

Officers continue to provide support to a woman in her 20's.
