Gail's bakery, which is set to open a new venue in Surbiton, has applied for permission to have an outdoor seating area at the front of the store.

The site is on Claremont Road and was formerly home to Lloyds Bank, which closed in March alongside dozens of branches nationwide.

The pavement licence application was submitted to Kingston Council and requests permission to have three tables, six chairs, and three benches outside of the front of the premises for customers to eat and drink.

The application is currently under review, and members of the public have until 6 October to submit feedback here.
