Surbiton’s cornerHOUSE’s wellHOUSE’s Festival starts on Wednesday

From Wednesday, 23 October until next Monday, 28 October, the cornerHouse Community Arts Centre in Surbiton will be hosting its four-day wellhouse festival at the arts centre on Douglas Road.

The festival will include laughter, talks, dance, poetry, and song events.

Wednesday 23 October at 7.30pm

To kick off the festival, Whole Lotta Comedy along with with best-selling author, stand-up and mental health campaigner, Dave Chawner will be interviewing hoarder Mandi Smith, as well as author of Big Boys Don't Cry?, Fabian Devlin and suicide prevention charity Andy's Man Club.

Then award-winning American comedian Robyn Perkins' will take to the stage with her "hilarious real-life anecdotes".

Thurs day24 October at 7.30pm

 There will be a Lindy Hop taster session with Surbiton Swing on Thursday.

 The session will make you feel good through movement -  the theme of this year's festival.

No partner or experience needed

Friday 25 October at 7.45pm

On Friday, there will be a Poetry Reading & Exhibition with themes of Silence, Connections and My Happy Place.

Readers and listeners are welcome.

Tickets are £6 and a cheese buffet with vegan options available will be included.

Monday 28 at 7.30pm

On Monday there will be a free choir session with Willowtones.

No experience is needed, and all are welcome.
