A Surbiton coffee shop has rebranded as a coffee and brunch house.
The Surbitonian Grind, which is located on Ewell Road, has today (Tuesday, 9 December) reopened as ICON Coffee & Brunch House under the same owner, Jamie.
Jamie opened the first branch of ICON on Claremont Road in September last year.
Speaking about the decision to rebrand, one of ICON's staff members said: "The Surbitonian Grind needed a rebrand as it had been there for four and a half years and just wasn't working anymore, so opening another branch of ICON was an obvious choice."
However, the Ewell Road venue has updated the breakfast and brunch menus from what is available in the original branch.

It also has a new 'Grab 'n Go' fridge which includes items like overnight oats and yoghurt pots and is targeted at commuters who frequently visited the Surbitonian Grind and need something quicker than what the brunch menu offers.
Moreover, the new ICON has a new coffee grinder and is focusing on specialty coffee.
The staff member said: "We don't want to be just a quick coffee shop anymore."
Owner Jamie also has plans to potentially turn the new ICON into a bar too.

Unlike the Claremont Road branch, which is pink, the new ICON boasts a bright blue colour which replicates the teel and gold theme used for the Surbitonian Grind and will be fitting should ICON start to stay open later as a bar.
