ICON coffee and brunch house has replaced the Surbitonian Vine on Claremont Road in Surbiton.

It opened its doors on Thursday 12 September and is under the same ownership as the Surbitonian Vine, offering a "similar vibe" according to an ICON waitress.

The waitress told Surbiton Nub News that the owner Johnny decided to change the bar into a café because "the bar just wasn't working anymore" and he wants to focus more "on coffee".

She said that the change has been "well received" since its opening and that ICON has been "busy" with punters enjoying sitting outside at the front to soak in the last of the warm weather.

ICON is open from 9am-5pm Monday-Saturday and 10am-5pm on Sundays, with food being served from 10am-4.15pm every day.

It offers a varied food menu consisting of traditional English breakfasts with vegetarian options, wraps, sandwiches, pastries, salads, sweet treats, and brunch classics. Gluten free options are also available.

On the drinks menu, you will find various coffees, teas, and hot chocolates, with all types of milk available, along with smoothies and iced coffees and teas.

While ICON closes at 5pm, you can still order a selection of beers and wines throughout the day.

You can also grab a loyalty card which you can use at ICON's sister café the Surbitonian Grind on Ewell Road and loyalty cards from the Surbitonian Grind can be used at ICON.

The Surbitonian Grind has the same opening times as ICON.

With its pink exterior, ICON is difficult to miss and the owner has made good use of the space that journeys a long way to the back of the building.

Its pink, white, and blue interior provides a brightness to the venue and projects a retro American diner vibe.
