There is lots to do in and around Kingston to keep the kids entertained this October Half Term, so we have created a list of six local places hosting Half Term events.

The Lensbury is hosting a variety of sports and activity camps for kids this October Half Term.

The Lensbury runs Tennis camps, Water sport courses, and a variety of other sporty and creative activities for kids from five years old and up.

Whether they want to unleash their inner artist with The Lensbury's Arts & Crafts camp or wish to try their hand at one of its water sports, there is something for every kid.

The Lensbury's October Kid's Camp for five – 12-year-olds and its Tennis Camps for five – 11-year-olds run from Monday, 27 October to Friday, 31 October.

However, its Junior Watersports Camp runs from Monday, 20 October to Friday, 31 October.

Halloween Half Term at The Lensbury

The Lensbury is hosting a variety of Halloween-themed activities this October Half Term (Credit: The Lensbury)

This October Half Term, The Lensbury is also celebrating the spookiest time of the year in style with its Halloween-themed kids' activities.

The Lensbury's Halloween-themed Half Term is going to be a week full of frightful fun, featuring everything from classic pumpkin carving to the spookiest sleepover.

The Lensbury's Halloween Half Term full schedule is as follows:

6pm – 8pm on Friday, 24 October – Free Halloween Movie Night (5+ Years Old)

Enjoy a spooky screening of Hotel Transylvania (rated U) in The Lensbury's Soft Play area, accompanied by tasty treats.

1pm – 3pm on Monday, 27 October – Scary Biscuit Making (6+ Years Old)

Join The Lensbury at the Club House Restaurant for an afternoon of creepy biscuit baking and decorating. This event costs £15 for Members and £19 for Non-Members.

6pm – 9am on Tuesday, 28 October – Spooky Sleepover (8+ Years Old)

Join The Lensbury at the Soft Play area for an evening of fun games, a Halloween movie (rated U), a swim with music, hot chocolate before bed, and pancakes in the morning. This event costs £52 for Members and £63 for Non-Members.

1.30pm – 2.30pm on Wednesday, 29 October – Free Family Float Session (All Ages)

Enjoy an afternoon of fun for the whole family in The Lensbury's Pool. Kids under eight years old must have an adult with them in the water at all times.

1.30pm – 2.30pm on Thursday, 30 October – Pumpkin Carving (7+ Years Old)

Join The Lensbury at the Creche for a pumpkin carving session – supervised with carving tools and templates, it is a great chance for kids to be creative and bring their masterpieces home. This event costs £10 for Members and £15 for Non-Members.

6pm – 7.30pm on Friday, 31 October – Halloween Party (5+ Years Old)

Hit the dancefloor, show off your spookiest outfits, and join The Lensbury for fun party games at the Soft Play area. The best dressed little monster will receive a prize. This event costs £15 for Members and £19 for Non-Members.

Finger Knitting workshop at Kingston Library

From 2pm – 3pm on Friday, 31 October, Kingston Library will be hosting a finger knitting workshop for children.

In this fun and eco-friendly session, children will learn to turn old t-shirts into yarn and use it to create their own finger-knitted pieces.

From 11am – 4pm on Friday, 31 October, the Bentall Centre is hosting a Spooktacular Halloween Carnival for all the family to enjoy.

Highlights include:

• Learn incredible circus skills and become part of the carnival
• Be amazed by live performances from the Bentall Centre's talented carnival entertainers
• Enjoy Halloween-themed games, activities, and surprises for all ages

Finding something fun for the kids to do during Half Term can be hard, but VRxtra in the Bentall Centre is sure to get the kids excited.

VRXtra is a  virtual reality experiences hub which opened on the ground floor of the Bentall Centre back in February.

Dubbed as "Kingston's most fun and immersive experiences", VRXtra has over 80 different experiences, including its Xtra Games, VR Escape Rooms, Smash Point, and the massively popular Arcade.

The hub is open from 10am – 7pm, with it staying open until 9pm on Thursdays, and 11am – 6pm on Sundays.

The Kingston store has 12 Tethered VR Headsets, toilets, customer seating, free Wi-Fi, and is available to book for parties.

Bushy Park Activity Camp is returning this October Half Term for three days of activities.

Running from 27 – 30 October, the camp will be delivering a mix of sporting activities throughout the week, ranging from football, dodgeball and archery to team games, creative Halloween themed challenges, and exciting arts and crafts.

 It is a fantastic way for children to stay active, make new friends, and have fun in a safe, supportive environment.

Bushy Park Activity Camp is OFSTED registered and accepts a variety of childcare payments, including Childcare Vouchers and Tax-Free Childcare.
