Kingston Borough Business Awards Entry Opening

We encourage all businesses registered or operating in the Borough of Kingston to take part in the Kingston Borough Business Awards 2025 (KBBA).

The KBBA celebrates the exceptional achievements, innovation, dedication, and significant impact of local businesses, educational institutions, and social enterprises. Whether you're a small start-up or a large organisation, these awards are an excellent way to highlight your contributions and inspire others by showcasing the diversity and talent within Kingston's business community. With 16 exciting categories, the KBBA is set to be an engaging competition.

We look forward to receiving applications from the outstanding businesses in our borough.

NIX Academy's 'Sister Act Jr.' Audition Workshop

NIX Academy is holding auditions for Sister Act Jr., a professional performance featuring a full set, makeup, and the guidance of West End teachers.

The auditions are free and all who audition will be guaranteed role in the show, which is a full-scale production, including professional sets, costumes, and makeup.

West End teachers will be leading the rehearsals, providing expert coaching and training

and performers will have the chance to perform in a professional environment, no matter their experience level.

All ages and experience levels are invited to audition, whether you're a seasoned performer or stepping onto the stage for the first time, NIX Academy wants to see you shine in its uplifting, high-energy musical.

There will also be an audition workshop this Saturday, 18 January and both the workshop and audition will be held at NIX Academy on Normansfield Avenue in Hampton Wick, running from 1.30pm – 4pm.

The Speakeasy Party hosts our longtime friend TJ Johnson and his band, a five piece act fronted by one of the UK's most highly acclaimed Jazz and Blues entertainers. Backed by his group of top London-based musicians, TJ plays an intimate show with an extraordinary blend of music that transcends the boundaries of jazz, blues, soul, country and gospel and is influenced by some of the greats such as Ray Charles, Dr John, Louis Armstrong, Johnny Cash, BB King, Nina Simone, Alberta Hunter, Frank Sinatra, Jimmy Witherspoon and many more.
