Kingston estate agent Saxon Kings has revealed family homes within KT6 postcodes are among the most competitive in the borough.

Neighbourhoods towards the western side of Kingston Borough have proven a hit with families looking to move to the area.

The postcode encompasses Surbiton and Tolworth's western neighbourhoods, as well as parts of Long Ditton on the border with Elmbridge in Surrey.

Saxon Kings is appealing to the area's four-bedroom homeowners looking to sell to get in contact with the agent's sale team, who say houses are going under offer before most interested buyers can attend a viewing.

Two more buyers with the agent have reportedly been outbid on multiple occasions as competition is so fierce.

Managing Director of Saxon Kings Sarah Hope told Nub News: "I have no reason to doubt that if someone is looking to sell a four-bedroom house around the £800,000 to £850,000 mark, we would be able to book our registered buyers in quickly."

It is not hard to see why the area is so popular with families looking for their next home.

Surbiton's smaller town centre provides more of a community feel than nearby Kingston, home to a number of local events from groups like The Community Brain.

Pair these food festivals and historical celebrations with even better transport links to the capital and the increased demand becomes a no-brainer.

Neighbouring Tolworth is seeing a number of regeneration projects looking to give the suburb a distinct identity within the borough.

Reactions to recent vandalism or removal of street art around its iconic roundabout show more and more people are invested in Tolworth than ever before.

The promised improvements to Tolworth Court Farm, the largest nature reserve in the borough, continue to make the area even better for residents.
