One arrested and two injured following a vehicle crashing into Ham Gate in Richmond Park
One individual has been arrested and two people injured after a vehicle crashed into Ham Gate in Richmond Park early this morning.
Richmond Police officers were called to the scene at 1:44am on Saturday 5 August, after it was reported a car had collided with gates at the location.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to provide a specimen. Richmond Police are continuing with their investigation.
Three people were believed to be in the car, with two reported trapped.
A male and a female were released from the vehicle and both were taken to hospital, their injuries have not been found life threatening or changing.
A gas pipe was also damaged in the collision and contractors attended to deal with the destruction.
The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the collision.
Royal Parks said in a press statement: "The Royal Parks are aware of a single vehicle accident that occurred near Richmond Park in the early hours of 5 August. As a result of the accident Ham Gate will unfortunately be closed until the damage has been repaired and it can reopen safely and clear of debris. The Metropolitan Police are investigating the incident."
