New escape room to open in Kingston
A new escape room has arrived in Kingston, offering immersive hour-long adventures for under £30 per player.
Escape Hunt Kingston is located at Alderman Judge Mall on Eden Walk and will open for in-person games starting from Monday 17 May.
A branch of international escape room company Escape Hunt, the room will provide four adventures to thrill-seekers in Kingston, including two 3D virtual reality games.
The game involves players being locked in a themed room (or virtual reality set-up) and given a set amount of time to solve a series of clues in order to escape.
On its website the company states: "Escape Hunt isn't something you watch, it's something you experience – right in the heart of the action.
"We make you earn your freedom, throwing all manner of devious and dastardly red herrings, dead ends and misdirections your way.
"It's completely immersive, utterly addictive and totally entertaining."
Adventures are priced at between £20 and £28 per person, depending on the type of challenge and how many players book.
Games are available for groups of between 2 to 6 players and under-16s must be accompanied by a paying adult. The age limit is 8 and above.
Remote adventures via Zoom are also available including the Doctor Who 'Worlds Collide' game, which is designed to be accessible for people who are blind, visually impaired or deaf.
