The site of the former Poundland on Surbiton's Victoria Road will be converted into another discount retailer.

The Surbiton Poundland, which closed for good back in August, is being transformed into a Bargain World store, which sells similar everyday goods.

The new store is expected to open on Monday, 19 October.

It was formerly speculated that the site would be converted into a new gym.

Poundland operated in the Victoria Road site for 10 years before its closure.
