Surbiton's Poundland, which is located on Victoria Road, will close for good in three weeks' time.

Remaining stock is being discounted by 30 per cent over the final 20 days, but when the store shuts its doors at 4pm on Sunday, 9 August, it will be for the last time.

The chain also shut its store on Tolworth Broadway back in September but the one in Kingston town centre remains open.

It is rumoured that the Surbiton branch may be replaced with a new gym despite the site being opposite The Gym Group.

The former Tolworth store was replaced by gym chain Anytime Fitness, which opened in May this year.
