A comfort food chain is set to open a new branch in Kingston in the coming weeks, according to one of the site's builders.

Cheatmeals, which will be located in 54 Fife Road, dubs itself as "Your Cheat Day Destination with Branches in London and the South East" and sells "100% organic comfort food".

Owner 786 Burgers N Shakes Ltd has also submitted a licensing application seeking permission to operate and serve late night refreshments until 4am.

If the application is approved, Cheatmeals will be allowed to serve late night refreshments between 11pm and 4am seven days a week, selling food to customers for dine in and takeaway, including deliveries through its delivery partners Just Eat, Uber Eats, and Deliveroo.

More generally, 786 Burgers N Shakes Ltd hopes that the shop will operate from 10am – 4am daily.

To avoid any issues that may be caused by operating into the early hours of the morning, the applicant says: "Cheatmeals now has significant experience of appropriate conditions that manage their operations at later hours."

The conditions mentioned include:

• Appropriate signage regarding CCTV
• Good quality CCTV
• CCTV recordings to be kept for a minimum of 31 days
• Proper legal training for all staff members with training records maintained
• Maintained incident log

Cheatmeals first began in 2018.

It all started through conversations at the gym after a workout, when a group of food enthusiasts, who shared the same passion for food, came together to create mouthwatering, high quality fast food.

One that would appeal to a wide audience and be an affordable cheat meal that can be enjoyed, as part of a healthy diet. 

The first ever Cheatmeal restaurant had then been launched.

It sells a variety of fast-food options, including burgers, hotdogs, and various chicken meals as well as milkshakes.
