Namaste Kingston to host International Women’s Day and Holi events next month

Namaste Kingston, a non-profit charitable organisation, is hosting events for International Women's Day and Holi at Hollyfield School in Surbiton next month.
For International Women's Day, the organisation is hosting a big celebration from 6pm – 9pm on Saturday 8 March, which will have live Bollywood singing from Geetika Sulekh and Aditi Agrawal, Bollywood dancing workshops led by Lakshmi Suresh, and a talk by Mrs India Telangana beauty pageant winner Bindu Priya Jayswal.

There will also be a DJ, fashion show, and more.

To celebrate Holi, a Hindu festival that celebrates the arrival of spring, love, and new life, Namaste Kingston will be hosting a Rangostav event from 1pm – 5pm on Saturday 15 March.

Rangotsav, the festival of colours, is an occasion of celebrating life with various art forms and bringing a smile on children's faces, encouraging their creative potential - a perfect way to celebrate Holi.
At the event, there will be colour play, Indian food stalls, a 360 photobooth, Bollywood dance workshops, a kid's zone, headline entertainers, and more.
There will also be Live DJ beats , Dhol masti, and live performances as well as Holika Dahan.
Tickets include candy floss, Holi colours, and Thandai, which is a South Asian cold drink.

Namaste Kingston's is vision is to create a friendly, welcoming space where Indian diaspora can come together to celebrate their culture and support local initiatives.
Through its events and activities, it aims to promote cultural understanding and integration while engaging with local communities.
The organisation is run by volunteers who are passionate about giving back to the community.
