Merton Friends of Palestine (MoP), in collaboration with Kingston and Richmond Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC), is hosting a walk for Palestine from Wimbledon to Kingston this Saturday, 1 March.

Anyone is welcome to join.

Those joining the walk are asked to meet at Wimbledon Station at 11.45am for a 12pm departure.

The aim is to arrive outside the Barclays on Clarence Street at 3.30pm, where Kingston and Richmond PSC will be organising a stall and open-mic session in which walk participants are welcome to speak.

The estimated full walk schedule is:

11.45am - Wimbledon Station

12.40pm - Raynes Park Station

1.45pm - New Malden Station

2.35pm - Norbiton Station

3.10pm - Kingston Station

3.30pm - Kingston Barclays, stall/rally

However, these times are approximate, and if good time is made, the group will stop at each point for five – ten minutes for a break.

Merton MoP advises walkers who are joining at later points to arrive early as the group will leave each point promptly.

It also recommends that walkers bring water and snacks and to not blindly follow people in front of them when crossing roads as there's been near accidents before.

Groups are welcome to bring their leaflets and promote them during the walk.

The walk from Wimbledon to Kingston is 6.4 miles, and walkers can drop off at any point.

If you would like to join the walking group or coordinate with the organisers on the day, join this WhatsApp group.
