Man and woman found dead in Kingston home

Police found a man and woman dead during a welfare check in Kingston just after 11am on Friday (23 May).

After entering the home on Water Lane in Kingston at around 11.10am on Friday, police found a woman in her 70s and a man is 40s dead.

The Met says it is unable to reveal the cause of death at this time, and the deaths are being treated as unexpected.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "On Friday, 23 May at 11:11hrs police carried out a welfare check at an address in Water Lane, Kingston-upon-Thames.

"Upon gaining entry, officers found a woman in her 70s and a man in his 40s deceased.

"The deaths are being treated as unexpected and an investigation into the circumstances is underway. No arrests have been made.

"Anyone with information can call police on 101 quoting CAD 2717/23MAY.

"Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or visit crimestoppers-uk.org."
