Love Kingston is throwing a "stomp style" virtual launch party after their recent success in achieving independent charity status.

The community scheme has been providing grants for small voluntary groups and organisations in Kingston Upon Thames since 2012 and are now excited to build on this existing legacy as part of a brand new charity.

Love Kingston previously formed part of Kingston Voluntary Action, but after recently achieving independent charitable status, the new Kingston Charitable Foundation has now been formed.

Love Kingston is now the community engagement and development area of this new foundation and will continue to raise funds in order to support charities across the borough, as well as giving grants to local voluntary and community groups.

Fundraising with Love Kingston can range from bake sales to large scale events and corporate sponsorships. Their vision is to build stronger communities where everyone's needs are met.

So, if you've got a bit of time to spare on Valentine's Day, join Love Kingston online between 6:30-7:30PM on 14th February for an evening of music, games and celebrations.

The evening will be hosted by self-described 'Team Building Expert & Rockstar Activator', Tom Morely. Tom is the former drummer of 80s band Scritti Politti, and likes to use humour and music to help people unleash their 'inner rock stars'.

The renowned drummer and motivational speaker plans to get everyone moving, with percussion using everyday items in the style of the well-known theatrical smash hit "Stomp".

Love Kingston is promising an 'interesting evening' with 'pumping dance tracks' - definitely not your typical Zoom call!

The charity has also scheduled several other exciting activities for the coming weeks, including a pizza night, quiz night, family art workshop and virtual balloon race! Find out more HERE
