Local club Stir777, also known as Fillies Kingston, has applied to extend its operational hours to include Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

In a letter to the council, the business said a renewed licence would "allow Stir777 to continue providing its unique style of entertainment to the town".

Located along Kingston's High Street, the venue is also seeking to extend its closing times by an hour.

Stir777 is currently permitted to operate its "adult entertainment" operations until 3am on Thursdays and 4am on Fridays and Saturdays as-per its Sex Entertainment Venue (SEV) licence.

Additionally, Stir777 is looking to renew its Premises Licence with a reduced capacity of 65, down from the currently-permitted 220, saying that this will prevent any subsequent operators from using the venue "as a nightclub for example".

The venue wrote that it has "an impeccable record with local authority, local residents and

patrons since opening in Kingston in 2018".

It has also said that "Stir777 provides safe employment and revenue opportunities as well as contributing to various aspects of the local economy and night time activity options in the town, but without any of the negative impacts generally associated with late night venues."

The SEV application mentions the venue would remain closed on Sundays and Christmas day.

Both licence applications conclude with a declaration that Stir777 is "open to dialogue and to add or revise any practical conditions that may assist the licensing committee in their considerations".

The consultation for Stir 777's SEV application will continue until 18 March, and is available to view here.
